GOPIO Women Council had an inspirational Expert Meeting
Lady Shruti Rana was the first woman in UK who took the initiative to create a women council within GOPIO. Inspired by Lady Rana a Gopio Women Council has been founded by Sharda Nandram in Holland together with a team of four women. Last Friday, 25th of November, they had their first expert meeting with women of the NRI and PIO community in multicultural centre Forum in Utrecht.
In today’s time, we have meetings, seminars, conferences, and workshops every now and then. The number of e-mails invites that we receive ranging from the usual to the exclusive get to gathers is unaccountable. But what is the impact of those must-attend events on our lives?
GOPIO women council has decided to walk on a different path. It did seek differences in the community and women specialised in different occupational fields and brought them together. The expert meeting was a melting pot of achievements, inspiration, knowledge and motivation. It is the first big step to act on a larger scale, by putting all our strengths and uniqueness together. Next year GOPIO women council is planning a seminar at Nyenrode Business University. The main focus is to be inspired and get empowered by other women.
